Description

The Injection Molding Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the molding department and its production leaders by monitoring quality, efficiency, safety, and troubleshooting.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Directly supervises and trains manufacturing employees, ensuring proper procedures and safety rules/regulations are being followed.
  • Responsible for ensuring house keeping and optimum utilization of space on the production floor to maintain organization.
  • Responsible for production staff scheduling and paperwork, to include production reports, employee attendance sheet, related production equipment inventory.
  • Documents and reports production and personnel data as required.
  • Utilizes and maintain ERP system (IQMS) to maximize asset utilization and plant performance.
  • Post and transfer all product and raw materials as needed, including but not limited to tracking, analyze and resolve any variances.
  • Identify equipment improvements/repairs and initiate work orders.
  • Manage and maintain objectives and goals in accordance with standard molding machine cycles, to maximize machine run time and minimize machine downtime.
  • Ensure employee awareness of both physical and food safety requirements, company goals, objectives, policies, and procedures and hold employees accountable.
  • Expected to be hands-on on the floor supervisor, including responding and resolving associate questions and concerns.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience as a production supervisor or technical lead within the injection molding industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evening, nights and/or weekends.
