The incumbent will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our projects and the communities we serve. Their mission is to go beyond construction sites, establishing meaningful relationships with local organizations, public health professionals, housing entities, schools, libraries, and other stakeholders. Through proactive communication and a commitment to understanding the unique characteristics of each community, the incumbent will champion public awareness and ensure that our initiatives are met with understanding, trust, and collaboration.

You will join our Construction Management Department

As our new Construction Outreach Specialist, you will be part of the Construction Management team that support project delivery of Ramboll's construction projects. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Establish and nurture partnerships with local community organizations, public health professionals, housing entities, schools, libraries, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between the program team and specific audiences, including homeowners, renters, and families.
  • Support proposals to funders, elected officials, and community leaders to garner support for the specific program.
  • Actively address concerns within the community, provide information, and build trust in the program initiative.
  • Assist in creating program materials and exploring promotional opportunities to reach local businesses and small disadvantaged businesses.
  • Create and translate materials into multiple languages to ensure effective communication with diverse communities.
  • Implement strategies for ongoing community engagement, incorporating feedback to improve project outcomes.
  • Support efforts to engage with non-English-speaking populations through language-appropriate materials.
  • Collaborate with construction project teams to integrate community feedback into project plans.
  • Collect data on community engagement activities and analyze their impact on project success.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and community development to enhance the effectiveness of outreach programs.

  • Work effectively in teams.

Additional skills, certifications, and qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience in community outreach, public health, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in public speaking engagements to represent the organization at community meetings or public forums.
  • Experience in writing grant proposals to secure funding for community programs or initiatives.
  • Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with multimedia tools to create visually appealing and informative outreach materials.
  • Multilingual.
