Benjamin Moore is seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our Digital Products team at our Corporate Headquarters in Montvale, NJ. Your role as a QA Automation Engineer is to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code. To ensure success as a QA automation engineer, you should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to write efficient test procedures for every software application.

Responsibilities

Write, design, and execute automated functional and performance tests and by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.

Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of each Digital Product

Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.

Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases

Build Robust test automation frameworks

Log and document bugs in Jira

Work with Digital Product Owners and Technical Leads to triage defects found by automated testing according to business impact.

Set up Continuous Integration for regression and performance tests.

Perform exploratory testing to understand product functionality and the end user experience

Train and guide junior QA team members in all aspects of QA Automation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.

2-3 years Automation experience is required

Experience in e-commerce applications is a must

Work experience with offshore/nearshore/onshore model is a plus

Experience with Agile methodology is preferred

Possess programming skills to write computer code and scripts in common computer languages, such as Javascript, Python

Expertise in building and maintaining web test automation frameworks preferably using Node.js or Playwright.

Experience in web performance testing principles.

Proficiency in API, Web testing principles and tools.

Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes

Being detail oriented is required as you will test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems

Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to interpret complex business requirements and encapsulate business logic/rules into reusable libraries.

Strong ability to exercise independent judgment, effectively prioritize, and execute tasks while under pressure.

Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Excellent communication skills.

Tools:

Automation testing tools: Selenium, Node.js, Cypress, Playwright, Appium

Mobile automation testing tools for responsive web across mobile and desktop devices

API testing tools that require strong coding skills to create tests: POSTMAN , REST Assured, RestSharp, jMeter, etc.;

Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Bit bucket, Github

JIRA - Defect tracking and task creation tool

Azure DevOps - Test case management tool
