Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst.
In this role, the Financial Analyst (FA) will report to the Post-Award Team Lead on Research Admin POD Team #3.
The FA will be responsible for analyzing budgets, monitoring expenditures, ensuring compliance with funding regulations, and providing financial guidance to project teams and principal investigators.
This position requires a keen understanding of accounting principles, budgeting techniques, and regulatory requirements in sponsored research. The FA will also be responsible for ad-hoc projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree and 1-3 years relevant work experience or an equivalent combination.
Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
Possess strong customer service and problem solving skill sets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business, finance or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant financial and/or grants management experience, or a combination of comparable education and experience.
The Financial Analyst will have a comprehensive understanding of research administration with in-depth knowledge of Uniform Guidance and other research regulatory requirements, specifically the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Experience with PeopleSoft preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400 - $73,140 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
