City Experiences is seeking an Operations and Inventory Manager for our NYC Ferry operation in Brooklyn NY.

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

This position will be responsible for ordering and maintaining all of our onboard concessions product, receiving orders both in the Warehouse and at Pier C. This position will be required to conduct daily audits of product inventory across (38) vessels and the warehouse to monitor product sales, damaged product, and expired product. The Ops and Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining vendor relationships for all Food and Beverage items as well as any warehouse purchases for the Guest Services department. This position will work closely with the VP of Operations to monitor budgets and set prices for items to ensure we are meeting our profit margins. The right person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Work with Purchasing and Rider Services Directors to monitor inventory levels and advise on weekly product ordering to ensure sufficient stock levels and to complete projects/duties as assigned
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting scheduled, monthly physical counts; reconciling with NCR.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Develops new and efficient models for adequately stocking and transferring products to vessels using NCR inventory control system.
  • Monitors vendors costs and activity ensuring adherence to contracts and rates.
  • Conducts Monthly Inventory analysis to monitor and reduce shrinkage/loss prevention.
  • Works closely with Accounting to manage and monitor sales and revenue.
  • Assists Accounting as needed for Inventory Control and movement of Engineering parts and supplies.
  • Acts as a backup for Receiving orders when the warehouse team is unavailable or out of the office.
  • Works with Accounting and Purchasing to develop updated reports for accurate and diverse data regarding concessions revenue and inventory.
  • Works with the VP of Operations to execute projects in queue for completion.
  • Is certified to operate the fork lifts and assist the facilities team as needed with orders, deliveries, and shipments.
  • Knows Great Plains to assist the Accounting and Purchasing departments as needed.
  • Manages Pier C container storing all purchased alcohol for distribution for vessels.
  • Oversees the Overnight Inventory team with managing distribution and inventory to vessels and logging appropriately in Anchor for accounting reports.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Certification of Forklift preferred.
  • Experience as a Manager overseeing a team of 20+ employees.
  • Experience using GP (Great Plains).
  • Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written.
  • Required to work in the office (5) days a week. No remote possibility.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Excel, and other computer-based programs.

Salary: $75,000 annually
