This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Health Plan Partnerships and will be instrumental in creating a partnership framework, operationalizing it and executing against it. Our Health Plan Relationship Manager will drive business growth, client satisfaction, and operational excellence through Progyny's health plan, TPA and channel partners. This includes responsibility for engaging with and managing partners of all types (Health Plan, TPA, and channel partners) and will play a critical role in enabling, activating and managing ongoing relationships with our strategic partners. Additionally, our relationship manager will be responsible for operationally launching new channel partnerships and optimizing how Progyny serves our existing channels, working cross functionally across Progyny to ensure optimal delivery to our channel partners and their end customers. Our day-to-day view includes meeting with internal and external partners, presentations, trainings, execution and management of contract deliverables, marketing strategies, and facilitating key discussions between our partners account executives and preparing our internal sales team for presentation and partnership reporting.

What you'll do...

  • Proactively lead a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship.
  • Overall responsibility for smooth enablement/implementation of assigned health plan channel(s) in ASO and Fully insured lines of business where applicable.
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with the Progyny product and operations team and collaborate cross functionally to drive excellence in deliver.
  • Inform partner strategy and upsell opportunities: designs a strategy and highlight potential opportunities, threats and risks for each partner working
  • Deliver on partnership requirements, payer reporting, PG analysis, and development of QBR materials; leveraging internal subject matter expertise, when required
  • Identify and unblock operational, clinical and administrative obstacles to achieve health plan enrollment and revenue goals by providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Leverage and share best practices for serving health plan partners to help build and manage new processes and dashboards that efficiently drive partner success
  • Partner with key health plan stakeholders to enable and track success measurement and enrollment strategies for fully insured plans
  • Conduct sales enablement and workflow trainings of channel partner teams, as needed
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Progyny's value proposition and offerings, and proficiently position the company in the market with partners.
  • Collaborate with employer account management team to ensure assigned partner accounts provide unparalleled quality and value to our collective client base.

About you...

  • 5+ years of healthcare experience with a strong background in healthcare or health plans
  • Growth and revenue mindset

  • Strong healthcare acumen and knowledge of employer benefits and health plan landscape
  • Experience in health plan delivery preferred (working in a plan or servicing a plan) including consultants, benefit administrators and/or PBM administration
  • Demonstrated experience managing large complex accounts and projects for scale and growth at a company
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time and prioritize accordingly
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%
  • Must have strong ability to influence decision-makers, and proven negotiation skills
  • Friendly and honest with an unparalleled level of client commitment and comfortable engaging or leading sessions without having all the information on hand
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $160,000 - $170,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
